I sorted out a way to mount the dog on a dowel. Once the patching around the dowel is dry, I’ll seal the self-hardening clay with a clear coat, then paint it with acrylics. I know very little about painting technique so that will be a learning experience.

gnawing the bone dog art — I did a lot of stuff with clay as a kid. It’s fun going back to it as an adult. This is made of self-hardening clay. I’ve never used it before.
